richi it's got to be about 89 or a little later now it think of it the black car we imported in 88 from florida
and it was a 87 car it was sold to a mate of mine who was in hospital at the time of the photo and did not want his girl friend to drive it as she had already dinged it so i had it again for a few months whilst he recovered[/img]

'87 F-body Chevrolet Camaro by the looks of things? Thought it was a Firebird at first but if I remember correctly the Pontiac had a separate spoiler, not a little kick up like the Camaro. Doesn't look to be an IROC tho?
I think the only Firebird I'd ever have would be a 68 or a 69

.
Saying that I do have a soft spot for the 4th gen - 1993-2002 shape ones too mind, or the equivalent Camaro because you can get so much power for so little - can make a nicely sorted one!
Oh yea

you are right lewis it's not an iroc but prior to it being dinged it was a minter 70 1/2 is suposed to be the best years but any early one is ok to me talking to my bank manager on friday he's got a 59 vette telling me the history it won a gold star (96 point car) in the us it's now back to it's former glory
very, very nice car and thats a bit of an understatment

Gotta say I'm a Mopar man myself. Had the good luck to take a ride in a '70 440 'Cuda and that was pretty much it.

Strangely, the 440 Mopar is the world's most prolificly produced car engine.

I dunno George, scroll down this a bit and it says 3/4 million of the 440ci alone were made. That's a lot of engines.

I dont think it was forsts. Isn't it the company who have a sticker in the window of his Dolomite?
How can that be...

Surely the most produced car engine must be the VW flat 4.
What's the criterion? Same cc? Same basic block? What's the source?
I know the yanks like to be the biggest best and mostest but I cant see this one being true...
BMC A series must be a contender...
Thinks of all those A30's A35's, Minors, Minis, ADO16, spridgets, metros allegros, marinas, maestros and who knows what esle they are in...

would have thought the big block chevy was made in larger ammounts than the mopar but who knows just thinking that the hemi has been(and still is) the drag mans choice lump for a long time and blocks / heads etc made by other sources other than mopar
think the chevy small block has a shout for the most mass produced engine
although the vw was longer in production as a single model type but modified over time (all those creature comforts

)
