How can I get the sliding pot on my prop sliding again? It's solid and even some tough love with a lump hammer won't budge it. Would you suggest I soak it in a bucket of something for a week? Can someone post a picture of the end apart so that I know what I'm potentially damaging?

Isn't the adjustment by a screw thread?

It has a cover that screws down but I thought that They are splined?

It is splined and there is a grease nipple to grease the sliding joint (or maybe just a blanking plug) anyhow you could try disconnecting the sliding joint end and pumping some grease into it, maybe the hydraulic pressure of the grease will help it to part.
Otherwise, heat and a big hammer are the order of the day.

Heat and a hammer mostly sometimes always work with stuck things, I love it. Just need to take it off again and set too it. Thanks Carledo.
