During her spa month in Hungary my friend didn't realize the snap fit/unfit nature of the prop shaft. Unfortunately the replacement he put on of a standard gaiter tore immediately, twice. Interesting noise!
Where can I find a replacement? Any suggestions?

If you want a new one, I suggest going to a propshaft manufacturer.

For secondhand…Ford?
I probably have one from a Capri 2.8.
If you are interested I'll take a look.
