Pretty sure I met the new owner of SFB at the NEC.

If you are on here, sorry I met so many people I can't remember your name, this is a link to the restoration thread.

Quite a lot more has needed to be done to SFB since then.....:-)

YellowMitch did a lot and then I did a lot more....like swapping out a noisy gearbox and I forget what else since Rush had it.

Thanks to Mitch its probably the best wired dolomite around...but to claim all the rest as recent is oTT - like the price.

Rush sold it to a chap in the Birmingham area about 18 months ago now. I hope the new owner didn't buy it from this advert.
The seller sounds like a semi literate chancer.....like I said well over the top price wise.

Nice car.....but only worth about 6.5k, which is about what it was offered for recently.

Nowhere on that ad is the word "recent" mentioned, but 2007 is.

I'm just interested in the "fast road springs", something new on the tuning scene?

At £10k it is pretty expensive, only time and the market will tell if it is too much. But if you look below the ad at other cars on offer, there is a Brooklands Green Sprint for £11k, again a nice clean car, but not perhaps exceptional. I don't know what to make of this personally, I like it that Dollies have been undervalued, it means I can afford them, OTOH it's good that values are rising whilst there are still some left to save and makes it more likely that some of the rougher cars WILL be saved and my missus will have a bigger nest egg when I pop my clogs. I also note that that bumperless 1500HL is STILL up for £6k. This says to me that the company who "restored" it went over the top on their budget and are now facing a shortfall! Hard luck guys! Also that a middling HL is not yet worth £6k! (and Alun is well on his way to being a miwionaire with all the Sprints he has stashed away  )
