Best Way to Remove a Shattered Windscreen?

Hi All,

Depending on the weather I hope to remove the remains of the shattered front screen on my Dolly tomorrow.
The whole of the screen has shattered into chips, and there are three large holes where spanners were smashed through.
I've sellotaped the screen inside and out and now it's time to get it out of there.
Any tips?
I was thinking a blanket on the bonnet, wear a pair of gardening gloves, and push the rubber from inside top, but if anyone has better ideas?

Is it a toughened screen to have broken into so many bits, or were the scallys just thorough in their vandalism?

You pretty much have the right idea, though a blanket inside to stop bits going down the heater vents is a good idea too.

If it is a toughened screen, you will be fishing bits of glass out of the heater vent pipes for the next 20 years anyway, that is just the nature of the beast!

Good luck, Steve

When mine shattered this morning, I taped bin bags to the bonnet, bin bags to the dash, and gaffer taped the screen on both sides.

I then pulled, pushed the screen onto the bonnet, starting at the passenger side top corner.

Whilst the screen I out, vacuum up as much of the glass that's gone behind the dash as you can.

Best of luck
