The site has been 'off-air' for quite awhile now, domain is paid up into December 2017 and is owned by a chap called John Crumpton who lives Suffolk way, website server appears to be a Google cloud based one, so I'm guessing the bill hasn't been paid or the owner has decided to shut up shop. The domain owners email address is there to be found if anyone wants to ask them, take a look at the whois for
debenham.solutions though I suspect that email address may be dead too.

Does that mean that all the items there are lost forever ?
Can they be rescued anyhow ?
Tony.

I take it that name doesn't ring any bells with anyone on the forum then? Kind of assumed that the Dollywiki was run by someone on here. Tell you what, I'll email the registrant and see if I get a reply.

what was the site name? Please post a link on here.
It may be that a cached version exists somewhere like:
http://www.webarchive.org.uk/ukwa/
was it https://dollywiki.co.uk/

I thought exactly the same, so went hunting on the internet archive and unfortunately they haven't trawled the site past the frontpage, which is a bit odd as the robots file allows it:
https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://ww ... ki.co.uk/*
The UK web Archive possibly doesn't crawl Google hosted sites (as this was) as they restrict themselves to the UK eventhough it is a .co.uk domain, or that it went offline before they could.
Thought I'd check for a Google cache version, nope:
http://cachedview.com/
Quite frustrating to draw a blank with my usual go to tools. Reverse IP lookup on Dollywiki DNS entry came back as debenham.solutions, hence looking up whois for that and seeing that it has the same name as the contact for dollywiki.co.uk, but no reply from the email address given. Have asked the registrar if they can help but not heard from them yet.
Don't want to seem like a crazy stalker(!) but just looked up the registrant's address on google street view and there is a white Dolomite Sprint sat on the drive so definitely the right person.

You're not wrong there at all. There's an old quote from years ago (don't recall the source) about that the likes of how MI5, CIA and KGB used to go to great lengths to compile dossiers on people, and yet now we just hand it all over willingly to Facebook.

I posted a couple of Jonners' contributions elsewhere on this forum so it isn't totally lost. It saves us having to pester him considering his current state of health.

I printed off the SU carb guide many moons ago. I found it between the pages of my Haynes manual yesterday so that's another article from the Dollywiki we can rescue.
