Is there a source or a good alternative that anyone has used for the inner and outer seals?

... or a source of suitable material from which to make replacements using the compressed and crumbly originals as templates?

Crumbly being the understatement lol! I dont think i have the ability or patience to sift it into the correct shape. I wonder what would be a suitable material to try to cut out our own replacements neoprene or silicone rubber.

Surprised to see Rimmers stock them both inner and outer seals
Have ordered a pair of each, I hope they are up to it.

I bought mine from Rimmers a few years ago and I was pleased with them, nicely cut and the foam seems to be like the original.

Having had a look at both TR6 and MGTF light seals they seem to be neoprene foam which is readily available on a well known auction website! Try a search for 'neoprene foam sheet'. Closed cell neoprene is waterproof. Not sure what thickness is needed, although uncompressed TR6 seals are 11mm thick (just measured one).
