Hello

My Name is Rasmus Brynk, and I'm a 32 year old Triumph Dolomite Sprint Owner, from Denmark.

I've recently became the proud owner of a good Dolly Sprint project, I never imagined would be for sale.

This is a long story, but I will try to keep it short(ish).

This story starts Before I was born, in 1978 England, with a LHD Triunph Dolomit being born as a
A happy little Pegeant blue Sprint.

It moved too Switzerland, and stay with its first owner til 1981/82, and it seems to have been a happy childhood. Then it moved on to a young man named Ricky, who bought the car used, and not soon after he has a problem with the very complicated Sprint head. He paid a lot of his money to have it rebuild, and enjoys some good years with his cars, he has more then one, and he looses his heart to a Firebird (one of them yank cars, nothing but brute power and infantile noises) and most own it.

He desides to take his car in a trip to Denmark, in 1990, and comes to visit some old friends of his family, my parent amongst them. And little, looses my heart to this car, when he drives us around, and being the car guy my dad is, and despite being a young man around 30, he remembers before he got kids, he owned a line of fast cars, and the only good 4 door he ever owned was a Dolly 1850, he strikes a deal with this Sprint owner, and he gets the Sprint, and the owner takes a train trip back to his Firebird when the vacation is over.

The Dolly needing only minor work, my dad has to get it taxed and MOTed, go true a big hazel with the government/MOT/Tax red tape in Denmark, but it cost a little. Ore the he was expecting. And it gets put in a garage.
And when ever he had some same time we tinkers on the car, my dad being ex-mechanic, paramedic/tow truck driver, and my brother and me aspires to be mechanic we willingly helps. This spends some time waiting between work/house vacations and etc. and finally my dad desides he wants a running and driving car, and sells it to me. Last month I took over the projekt , and I just paid him in full and it's now my car.

It needs just final touches, 5 small holes, exhaust is shot, needs a straight sill and respray.
We have done brakes not that long ago, and the interior is out and it's ready for welding.

I have resently completed a 1969 Volvo 121 project, and look forward to start this project.

I believe this is a good place to come for help, I been lurking a little and when time comes, would like to ask some questions and post some pics of my progress.

I hope I'm not already boring true good people of this forum, and and this is a little about my car.

I'm 32years of age, have to children, and a wife.
Lives in my own house, I got to be a skilled mechanic, but changed my line of work to Welder and fabricator, around 10yrs ago, to avoid being unemployed.

Hope I will fit in

I've moved the thread here because it IS Dolomite related.

Welcome to the forum. Have you considered starting a thread in the "resto" section if you want to keep us updated on your progress?

Hey, and thanks for the move.
Yes it's nice with some LHD, but most of the world is LHD, Denmark included. Is yours a European car?

Yes there will be a thread as soon as work starts. I'm just collecting parts, and Working on the motor for my Volvo.
The Dolly is the next one.

I plane to get some sills bend up at work. And start as soon as my engine runs.
And I need some good pics taken off the car.
Since that one is the only one I got.
