First thought was condenser but as it is an early Dolomite I would try bypassing the tachometer…?

Ian, interesting results from some testing today. Bypassing the tacho doesn't cure the misfire, but it does cure the issue the car has had since I got it that it seems to take forever cranking over before it fires.... it starts really promptly without the tacho!
