Engine and gearbox mounts - best source?

It looks like I'll need both. Searching online it seems there are a lot of issues sourcing them, or at least the engine mounts.
The suppliers who appear to stock are RB, Wins, Robsport, ANG Classic Carparts, Paddocks. Couldn't quickly find any others.
Does anyone have a recommendations?
I also saw these SH which is potentially handy given I'm in Oz .....also but who really knows the condition.....

I've only ever tried the first source on your list and have never had any issues. Their service to NZ is quick so presume that would apply to Oz as well.

Don't use their gearbox mount is my only advice, it's rock hard, cannot speak for their engine mounts.

Recently bought both engine and gearbox mounts for the 1500 as they are all shot - probably the original 1977 items!
Shopped around as I considered RB expensive and some questions have previously been raised about quality issues. Got the gearbox mount from MEV Triumph Spares and the engine mounts (which are proper metalastik branded items) from an ebay seller. His link for Sprint engine mountings is:

Thanks. My issue is two fold - decent enough product (ie not rock hard) and durable (is won't sag next month or have the rubber detach from metal components etc). The problem is that its hard to determine either

. I'm not sure how rock hard any of the mounts should be in practice anyway!. But I really need to get a good recommendation and proceed from there because returning parts from Australia is time consuming and expensive. Thks

Thanks. Further to above I suppose what are your views on the MEV gearbox mount (rock hard ??

) or the engine mounts? I looked at the ebay seller - I'm not for a second saying they aren't a great product but how do you know the source or quality? Where does this guy get a supply of Sprint engine mounts from - given that supply of decent product "seems" to be hard to come by?
In short I suppose what made you a) choose MEV and b) risk going with the ebay seller. And what are your views on the quality, how easy were they to fit (ie correctly sized) and how long have they been on the car (presumably without dramas)?

The rubber was that hard that it parted company from the metal surround, and disappointingly all the suppliers seemed to stock the same remanufactured part. This is what I did instead of using the poor quality mounts
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=29990, and you're more like to find that part in Australia. I've done quite a few thousand km on it now without any issue.

As others have said, where parts are remanufactured, most suppliers seem to sell the same part, so I went to MEV on a cost basis. I've found that most of the 'autojumbling' ebayers are decent folk, this guy was no exception and anything's got to be better than the floppy engine mounts currently fitted. Have to confess that the parts are not yet on the car as the weather has been c**p for the most part here since buying the bits. Will let you know how I get on with them once fitted.

Thanks. Any further opinions from others still welcome.
It seems the Volvo mount for the gearbox is the better way forward. Galileo I think I will pm you about that.
For the engine mounts I've messaged the ebay guy you mentioned. If they are metalastik branded that sounds good but then again could be a cheap copy. It's all a bit of a lottery. Also messaged another outfit actually here in Oz, also via ebay
I still note we have others who are happy enough with Rimmers so in the sense of a single efficient postal order that is still quite favourable.

Any thoughts? Anyone know if those sizes are accurate? And didn't I read somewhere that the two mounts are different sizes anyway so that's a fail unless I'm remembering that wrong.

With regards to comments regarding rubber mounts 'being too hard', the cars we are referring to are now between 37 and 45 years old and generally we've been driving around for years on 'old rubber', much of it softened over time by use and oil contamination. I strongly suspect what suppliers have for sale now is as hard as the mounts fitted originally, we've just forgotten what that was like, even if we ever drove one when new!
I did have a new Dolomite 1500 in '79 as a company car but for the life of me I can't remember that level of detail. I do find the mounts I bought from RB to give the Sprint a nice taut ride, it is a performance car after all.
