Oil filter choice

I see that there are two types of oil filter for my sprint. Spin on or re-fill.
Is it patently obvious just by looking at it, to tell which one I have?

And, if I have a spin on, can I go back to the standard type easily enough?

Thanks

Yes you can go back to the original type of oil filter, but your need to take the spin on adaptor of, then screw the original canister and filler back in place

Yes its obvious - spin of its a lot shoter in its overall length when compared with the OEM filter

I wasn't sure if the spin on provided as high a flow of oil as the original bowl type, so I'm sticking with the original type at the moment.

Jeroen and one or two others are convinced the flow rate is WORSE with a spin on filter, I would regard them with suspicion at best!

Cheers chaps.

Yes I saw that Steve. I'll have a proper gander tmrw to see what I have and act accordingly.
