Or thinking about it, yes, think they are the fuel transfer from one carb to the other

That looks like the earlier type of berg with the plastic bit on the side that houses a bimetalic strip that controls a valve with a small O ring.

The pipe you mention is an overflow pipe....and comes in to play if your float valves play up.....

About every 200 miles then....:-)

In line fuel filter just south of the pump is essential on all dolomites but especially early bergers...
