Electrical Gremlins

I've been preparing my Toledo for an MOT test next Wednesday, and everything seemed to be good to go, but the hazards have stopped working, at first I though it was the flasher so I have a new one on the way, but now I don't think it is since the interior light and horn have also stopped working. I checked the fuse box to see if any of the contacts are corroded but they're fine and I don't seem to have unplugged anything behind the dash by accident so I'm a tad perplexed as to what could be causing the issue

. Another thing confusing me is that the sidelights turn on without the ignition on, but the full beam flash has also stopped working? Advice would be greatly appreciated!

Do you have relays fitted for the headlights?????
Pull off the steering column covers and inspect the wiring all the way down through the steering column and on through the harnesses. I suspect a melted wiring loom and/or switch gear.....

I do not have relays for the lights no, although I do intend to fit them at some point. I'll try that tomorrow, but I'm not sure that's the problem as it decided to fail when I was using the hazard light switch.

Your fuse between the brown and purple wires is not good or the connection between those wires to the fuse box.
Sometimes a fuse does look ok but the wire inside isn't attached to the metal end anymore.
There is your problem.

What he said^^^^^^!!!!!
The circuits you have lost are ALL related to the permanent live fuse. Shove a new one in if possible, as Jeroen says, they can look fine and still be duff!

What they said....
Its always the fuse box. My hazard switch is only ever tested at MoT time and always needs a few pulls in and out to work again.
The side lights are NOT wired via the ignition, so nothing wrong there.
Its always the fuse box....fuse or connections...
