How do I re-mount the upper door strips on my 1500 HL - I have fitted the correct clips as supplied by Rimmers, but can’t slide on the strips - any ideas ?

Are you talking about the chrome strips just below the windows? If so, you don't slide them on, you hook the top on and give it a light tap.

I think a mallet may be a bit excessive. I usually use the palm of my hand.

I've only just noticed that this thread was in the "How do I fix it?" section of the forum so I've moved it here as the OP was asking for help and advice rather than offering it.

Yup, they should just pop into place.

I'm not sure what the general consensus is on here, re corrosion protection, but mine have been off a few times and each time they go back on I'm certain to smear a bit of waxoyle, or silicone or grease (whatever is to hand) through the holes in the doors where the plastic clip goes.

Thought I'd mention it in case it helps!
