Back in the 70s I had a 1966 Cortina Mk1 GT in red - a 2-door model with slightly wider rims and slightly lowered suspension. Boy, I loved that car! Wish I had it now! I did my fastest ever run from western Scotland to Surrey in that. I've never beaten that time in all the years I've been driving up and down, no matter what car I've been driving. Cortina GTs fetch serious money these days.
And as for the "Aeroflow" ventilation, I don't think any manufacturer (including Ford) has bettered that system. Hot air on your feet and cool air on your face. Why can't modern cars do that? If your feet are warmed then so is the air in the face vents. Why? It just makes the car stuffy and the driver drowsy.

Please would you post a close up of that Dove sticker in the rear window. Just the sort of thing I want for my Triumph Car Dealer project.

Hi all, thanks for the positive comments. She was indeed a U.K. car, I'm pretty sure I have the plates in the attic in
my garage. As it happens both cars are from the U .K.
We acquired the dolly in 2008 if my (iffy) memory serves me. We don't get to use her that much as we are members
of the Cortina owners club of Ireland as a result of which the Tina gets more use. Steve I will try to get a close up of the Dove sticker and post it here, best regards. Myles.

Hi again folk's, well search today and found the U.K. plates
Reg no. NPO 57R. I have some documents with the car.I don't have the name of the original owner. The car was sold secondhand to a Mr. Parker of Surrey by LT Dove of Croyden on the 03/03/1979. I purchased it from a Mr Brennan in Wexford. The car has undergone full body restoration and respray. Steve here is (hopefully) the close up of the dove group sticker, regards again Myles.
