Classic cars in Fire

#1 Post by Mad Mart »

My heart goes out to the people effected by this tragedy. Luckily no one was seriously injured. Some of these cars had already had a lot of time & money spent on them & one of the MK 2 Jags had just been prepped ready for spraying. I also noticed an E-type on the news tonight which was also burnt out. Apparently there are only about 200 of these Studebakers left. :(

It'll all be insured to the hilt I imagine, but still an absolute shocker for those involved. How badly does fire damage a bare shell?

I know someone who lost a mint Mk1 Escort Mexico (amongst other things) in a blaze in a restorer's workshop in Kent. That one was even worse than this, as the Police discovered it was arson. I don't think they ever found the perpetrators :( :( :(
