Lower ball joint

I received two items in the post yesterday and both were slightly different from what was described on eBay. The fan switch will work, albeit slightly cooler than my math suggested, but the LH lower wishbone will definitely not work on the left-hand side. From Jon Tilson's spares I won a RH lower ball joint for the future so I guess my question is, is it worth holding onto a Quinton Hazel ball joint that cost £33 including postage or getting a refund?
