Thought I'd start a new thread for 2019.

At the last meeting we decided to put back the January meeting a week to the 9th due to it being so close to the New Year. It will give everybody time to recover form the celebrations. I've already sent out my usual e-mail.

Remember, the meeting will NOT be taking place tonight as it usually would be. The January meeting will be taking place on the 9th (a week today as I post this).

Tonight is the night!

I might not make it tonight. The C4 Grand Picasso has quit on me and I'm waiting for the RAC to recover me home.

Battery?

The rear air suspension had failed. The compressor refused to work so I had to be recovered home by the RAC. It came back to life late last night when I was trying to hook up the laptop with the diagnostic software (Diagbox for those who work on PSA group vehicles) so I just left it in the garage and I came to work in the BMW today. I didn't make it to the meeting so I don't know if anybody turned up.

The next meeting will be on the 6th of February.

We had good discussion over the NDD and the venue. We all came to the conclusion that getting it out early is a priority and having a place of other interest is always good.
As much as this is the Northern Dolly Day everybody is welcome to attend and if you wished to make a weekend of it. YORK is a fantastic place to visit with plenty going on for all of the family.
As much as my own car may not be ready I’ll always support as many events as I can.

Looking forward to seeing as many as possible there.

The February meeting is almost upon us. I'll be sending out my usual e-mail. There won't be a repeat of last month because by then the Citroen will have the rear air suspension replaced by conventional coil springs.

Hope to see some of you there.

Tonight is the night! I definitely won't have the same problem as I did last month with the modern.

Tonight's meeting was a good turnout with me (yes, I made it!), Trev, Bob, Keith, Roger & Kath. We discussed among other things NDD, my (lack of) progress on my 1850, and the progress on Trev's magenta Sprint.

The next meeting will be on the 6th of March.

Tonight is the night...

It was just me and Trevor tonight. I was given a letter from the committee at the Hollies saying that they will charge us £10 to hold any future meetings there. I've therefore made the executive decision to find somewhere else to hold the monthly meetings. If anybody has any ideas of where we could hold the meetings, I'm all ears and open to any suggestions.

Seeing as it was just me and Trevor, we ended the meeting early and decamped to Trevor's garage where he is gradually reassembling his magenta Sprint. I managed to shoot some video and it will be featured on my YouTube channel.

There won't be any more meetings until I've sorted out another venue. Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings.

Kath has suggested a couple of suitable pubs in Pudsey (The Britannia and The Royal) so I'll be checking them out. We could have a venue in place for the April meeting date (3rd April).

Good news!

I called in at the Britannia on my way home from work and they are able to accommodate us. The April meeting will be taking place there on Wednesday the 3rd at 8pm. I'll be sending out an e-mail, get my forum sig updated and I'll get Steve W. to make an announcement in Dolly Mixture.

EDIT: All done and dusted. The pub does food until 8.00 so if we want to dine we can if we get our order in before then.
