Standard Sprint cam ?

#1 Post by MIG Wielder »

Is a Sprint camshaft with the following markings a standard Triumph one please ?

88 3121 32 MC86228 D

These are on the body casting there are no numbers on the end plates.

Thanks ,
Tony.

Probably. Can you show a picture of a lobe? Or if coming to Jon’s today, bring it along?

Hi Alun, Thanks very much for all your comments and advice. I did the measurements as you suggest and I have a difference of 0.343 to 0.350 over all the lobes, being the lift of the cam. So pretty well standard then. I did look for Jeroens comments as well from previous posts and this seems to agree.
Thanks All.
Onwards and upwards as they say. :D
