ABT carb needles

Thanks to all for previous help. While checking the ABT carb needles on my 1977 1500 HL,I noticed that the small guide tubes at the top of the needles, had a very small raised ridge on one side,at the top, of each tube.Surely having that ridge there would tend to tilt the needle to one side?Or am I missing something. Why have a ridge and not have a flat top on the guide,to allow the needle to fall central.Should that small ridge be filed flat,or would that be an error?Any advice appreciated.Joe.

I have found out that that small ridge on the needle guide AUD4288 should be there,as for some reason the ABT jet needle should be biased in a particular direction,so no filing it off!Joe.
