need some help on id gearbox....before i do a boo-boo again

Well, the overdrive was originally fitted to a Sprint...look on the bulge to the driver's side of the bellhousing and you should find a number stamped into the casting. If it is prefixed VA, then it confirms it as a Sprint 'box (the length of the input shaft would seem to confirm this...)

The numbers you've photographed elsewhere are just standard casting numbers.
