Pictures from original setup on late 78, early fourth series Sprint

First shows pipe routing from MC going down under servo. Note original clip. Rear outlet is for rear brakes

Second illustrates (sorry, picture upside down for some reason) routing of pipes under servo and onto firewall

Third (this one on its side!) shows entry to the brake balance valve UKC1247. Rear is on left with the single outlet, pipe from front of MC to right with an outlet to each front brake. Bottom outlet to offside brake and side outlet to nearside brake.

As you can't get new brake balance valves, when I converted an older car to tandem, I simply used the earlier 4way manifold connector for the front brakes only with one outlet blanked off, and connected the rear pipe from the master cylinder directly to the pipe going to the rear brakes with a simple joining piece. Has worked fine for over five years and 10k miles.
