I have a recollection that Chris Witor did a kit of rubbers to rebuild the lower steering coupling, in Superflex if I'm not mistaken?
However, I can't find them on his website...have I been hallucinating?

THere are these on Fleabay:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Superflex-St ... 1393695855
Superlfex part no. SF374-1179K
Chris Wittor has a link to the Superflex site on the left hand side of his webpage. t say discount for Triumph clubs if ordering other Triumph parts.
Hope that helps

Be aware that these have been modified as the original superflex kits were a poor fit resulting in play. Chris Witor supplies the new version. An ebay seller may have old stock..

The only problem is that to do this safely you need to have a coupling that has bolts that are wire locked. Most of the couplings have bolts that are just riveted over to stop them coming out and to take them apart you have to file the end off which then means they are too short to re-rivet. It is a pity that the wire locking type bolt is no longer available. It is not just a simple bolt it has a shoulder which is larger in diameter than the screw threaded part. It might be a good line if someone could get some remanufactured.

The kit is not cheap either! Fitchetts sell the cheaper, pressed UJ coupling for around the same price and Chris Witor's bulletproof forged T2000 UJ coupling is only a few dollars more! I know where MY money goes!
Note to self, check stock of old couplings to see if any wired and therefore rebuildable ones in there! Someone might want one, even if I don't! Then bin the rest!
