I've had the sad news that John Glenn has passed away. John was a stalwart member of the Club for many years and was West Midlands area rep for many of them. John and his wife Wendy were responsible for many stunning Club displays at the NEC show in its early days and was a true enthusiast. Older members will recall his mimosa Sprint OUE and his fastidious restoration of french blue PPU which is now owned by Lee Allen. John latterly became custodian of Ted Middleton's 'other' car the carmine red OUL until he was forced to pass it on due to no longer being able to drive it. No details of any arrangements yet, but I'll be sure to update the thread if I hear anything...

That's very sad news. John was one of the first people I met when I joined the Club. Our condolences to Wendy.

It is a shame that John has passed on. I remember his French Blue Sprint. He also had a Toledo which his wife drove that had to be passed on too. I might've met him at a past NDD.

Really sad to hear the loss of John.
I first meet him back in the 80s at a Sodit car show in the New Forest.
True gent and I send my condolences to Wendy and the family.
