Yes I am, lot's more to go yet though. I need to get the gearbox crossmember welded up now, then I can get the propshaft length measured and send that away for shortening. Will probably move onto the intercooler and radiator then.

I have got a standard socketed ECU, so I was going to go for a Horsham Developments Stage 1 chip, which should hopefully allow around 230 BHP with the hybrid turbo.

Yes, nowhere near Horsham, apparently.

I have got the crossmember offered up and I am about to weld on some extra steel, so that I can bolt to the pre-drilled crossmember mounting holes in the floor.
There are 3 holes on each side of the gearbox tunnel opening. IIRC the Sprint crossmember only used two of these, so I guess the other ones are for the 1850, or non o/d Sprints. Also from memory there was a drilled reinforcing plate welded across the 2 bolts to mount the crossmember.

I haven't had much time on the Dolomite recently, due to spending far too much time at weekends repairing work vehicles. I have got something wrong here, I think!
Anyway, I did manage to have a look at how much I need to have the prop-shaft shortened by this evening. I measured the diff flange to gearbox tail-housing clearance with the suspension dropped and then jacked up the axle until the back end of the cills just started to come up of the lift arm pads. After a bit of pulling on the back of the car to settle the springs, I was very surprised to see that the diff to gearbox measurement had hardly changed. Literally no more than 1mm. Even after I fit the Gaz springs and shocks to lower it slightly, I don't think this measurement is going to change much more.
So, as I mentioned in a previous post, my next dilemma is how much clearance do I need to leave between the front prop-shaft U/J face and the gearbox tail-housing? There is plenty of mating length on the splined surfaces, so I was thinking, maybe, 15-20mm. Any thoughts?

Does anyone know the bore sizes of the clutch master cylinder on the different models? The S13 has a 22mm bore master cylinder, so, depending also on the stroke, I need something a similar bore.

Why dont you use the original Dolomite Clutch master cylinder

I could but I am not sure if it will displace enough fluid to operate the S13 slave. It's a 1500 master, so I was interested to know if the diameter varied across the range and whether another master might be more similar in size to the S13 one.

When I built the Carledo, the original 1300 Toledo 3/4" (19mm) master cylinder comfortably works the Omega concentric slave cylinder. This m/cyl was on the car when I bought it in 2008, though it looked fairly new then and is still there and still working fine!
I had no idea at the time whether it would work or not, i'd not even salvaged the Omega master cylinder, let alone measured it's bore! Not being one to overthink stuff, I had a master, i'd modified the pipe to fit it, a few seconds to bleed it out and I knew!
I recommend the "suck it and see" method, try what you have before seeking something else. At worst you've only wasted a few ccs of brake fluid and a half hour!

Steve,
Yes, I could try using the original master cylinder, if I can modify the original pipe fairly easily and cheaply. If I have to get a pipe made up, then I would rather be sure that I have a big enough cylinder fitted.
I had been looking at this as a possibility: -
https://www.carbuilder.com/uk/master-cy ... -1316-bore
It has a remote reservoir connection, which could be useful.
Glen.

I’ll be getting my 5/8 16mm master cylinder plumbed into my S13 slave cylinder pretty soon. I got a custom stainless braided flexihose connected to a short copper pipe which bends downwards too acutely for the braided hose.
I’ll send you some pics Glen.
Hopefully it’ll all work ok !!
Guess there’s always the option to sleeve the S13 cylinder from 22mm to 16mm or whatever you need ?
