Morning all,

Is my brake master cylinder push fit or are there invisible bolts ?!

My Haynes manual refers to non-existent pins and clips.

Thanks, Richard

Tandem is push fit, single line is screw fixed from within the reservoir.

(LHD Tandem is screw fixed from beneath)

Alun is quite correct, there is an earlier tandem master for export cars which has screw fitted reservoir (this is probably the one desribed in the Haynes book of lies) but the RHD late one is only held in by a couple of arrowhead mouldings on the stub pipes into the bushes in the metal cylinder. Getting them off is a bit of a juggling act, too much force and you risk damaging the fragile reservoir, too little and it simply won't come off! But it MUST come off to recon the cylinder as there is a tiny pin in the foremost hole that must be removed to get the front piston out. Good luck!

Steve
