Jetex make exhaust components eg over axle pipes, various bends, silencers, twin tailpipes etc.

Has anybody made their own straight through exhaust from components ?

Thanks, Richard

Yes, i have, the hardest part i found was over the axle, but then bought an over axle pipe that made it easier ( still had to cut it),i put V-Band clamps on mine, makes it easier to get the exhaust off again, there well worth getting,in my madness  i also made the middle box mines straight through

I did on my ford-powered spitfire.
I got the stuff off ebay. Exhaust parts and another company (who made the boxes to order for a very reasonable sum)
Obviously no over-axle section, and took a bit of faff to get it right. I used stainless wire in my mig to weld sections together, and bought joiner sections etc so it is in 2 parts. Plus the manifold.

I looked into this and abandoned it, after costing it up. It was no cheaper than simply buying a sports exhaust.

The only way it saves you anything is if you happen to have access to an mandrel bender, that way you can just buy straight sections and make your own bends.

Still if you want the challenge, why not.
