Last week the car went to Aldridge Trimming for its new vinyl roof to be fitted. I've got to say the standard of work is amazing
Except for the fact they seem to have wrapped the vinyl over the top of the gutters; you'll struggle to get the trims to fit over that!

...but otherwise a fantastic looking car!

Is there a "spot the deliberate mistake" prize?

Factory production Sprints all carry their brake calipers BEHIND the axle centre line (mounts are available for both fitments on the standard car) I can see how one could think they should be ahead of the axle line from the position of the front hose but it's not the normal way. Or did the competition dept have other ideas?

This is "normal" and there is a complicated hose, bracket and pipe arrangement to make it fit.

The brakes in pic are the Trackerjack vented ones but the theory and positioning is the same as original.

Steve

PS, if it's any consolation, you wouldnt be the first to make this error and likely won't be the last!

Thankyou for the information that is definitely something I have missed! I will get it sorted on Monday.

The car didn't actually have any calipers when we first got it, so had no reference pictures when it came to reassembly :bash:

We made massive progress on the car today so there should be another update next week with more pictures

A little teaser update, the car is getting very close to completion. We are rushed off our feet in the workshop at the moment but will do a proper update soon
