If i remove the overdrive sump plate, How much oil should I expect to find?

Thanks in advance..

As far as I know you will empty the whole gearbox if you take the plate off.

Drain the gearbox, they have a common supply. You will also need a special tool to take the high pressure filters out, it is a bit like the tool you use to change the discs on an angle grinder. Basically you need something with two prongs, at the correct spacing, to turn them. You can an adjustable version of an angle grinder locking tool and it will undo the high pressure filters.
Why are you checking the overdrive?

checking the overdrive, as I am getting the effect of clutch slip. But if i pull away enthusiastically I can still warm the rear tyres up.
Doesn't do it all the time. usually on the 2nd to 3rd gear change. Not doing it consistently enough to fully diagnose.
Clutching at straws a bit.
