Rear trailing arm poly bush

Hi all, I recently posted on Facebook a query around the level of flex on my trailing arm bush fitted and wondered if anyone had a superflex or NOS part they could measure
? In particular OEM152308/149827. My superpro brand item is 48 mm in length and appears about 3mm short vs hanger opening. The insert tube also protruding a little and not flush, say 2mm.

There may be some splaying out on hanger on body that could explain. My options are, grind a couple of mm on my crush tube length resulting in tube being a bit shorter than bush width, which in turn would allow me to tighten up enough to allow hanger to clamp against side of bush. Ditch superpro and buy a superflex or similar (assuming different length dimension) Or perhaps my hanger is concave after years of service and as such it’s stopping the clamp of bush when it hits crush tube.

Anyone got a bush to measure and report back? No point another order if same size and it’s down to the state of my hanger. Hope that makes sense.

On a positive note! My diff rebuilt and sporting temken bearings and NOS crown wheel & pinion

I have a couple of original ( rubber) trailing arm bushes . They are so original that they have the old part number of ULC1580.
The dimension over the sleeve is 51.07 mm and the max; dimension of the rubber just below the sleeve is 47.32 mm.

HTH,
Tony.

I've got an unused pair of Superflex trailing arm bushes somewhere around here, if I can find them, i'll measure them!

I can provide 2nd opinion on the NOS though my caliper isn't as posh as Tony's  Doubt I'd add anything to the party except that I have the other end with the flat cutouts. Useful?

Thanks guys. Looks like my superpro close in length to NOS above thanks Tony. Curious on the superflex if it’s handy Steve, if not don’t waste any time hunting. Been out and looked at the hangers and don’t appear concave at all, sides are straight although they do splay out at front and get narrower at rear, which kind of makes sense. Going to check out another local sprint tomorrow and take some photos to compare and if all similar, then I’ll fit it all back and hope back end tightens up when done. Cheers again for input all.

Found and measured my Superflex bushes they come out at 50.5 mm across the metal sleeve, near as my old fashioned steel tape could measure them.

Thanks Steve. That’s pretty much same as tubes of superpro. Going to go ahead and bolt it all up and before putting fluid in brakes see how much side to side movement I end up with. If too loose then I’ll grind tubes a mm and hope the brackets/ hangers can pull in a bit and clamp tight.
