Does anyone know the correct position for the rear lifting eye on the 1850 engine. I have the eye and want to refit it to remove the engine. Thanks

Can't see it in the parts book.

The Sprint one goes on the back of the head, so I suspect the 1850 is similar. Compare the bolt holes to those which hold the back cover on...

The front lifting eye is the same as the Sprint one on the front plate :- 155543.
The one further back on the 1850 is on the rear of the inlet manifold :- 153768.
If you have an engine lifting eye at the front of the exhaust manifold... that is interesting... like my 1850.
Tony.
