I saw this 1968 1300FWD in a fetching shade of Valencia Blue literally down the road from me. I got talking to the owner and suggested that he join the Club. It isn't the prettiest but it is fully road legal. The owner also has a Rover P6 which I've seen going past the same place.

Steph of the "idriveaclassic" YouTube channel has bought this car. She has reviewed a Toledo in the past on her channel.

I've noticed that Steph has joined the forum. Steph, if you're reading this welcome to the forum. I'm the YouTuber who goes under the "Parknest" moniker. There's a link to my channel in my signature below.

Even here, on the frigid Southern Coast of Australia, I cuddle with the penguins to watch IDAC, FD, Mr Hubnut and the other one whose name I can't recall right now, but looks like he's about 13...
Anyway, watched Steph's video on her new purchase and decided I want one, more so because I have seen pics of the early years 4x4 rally/prototype ( I read somwhere, probably unreliable, that the body shell was designed with potential 4x4 in the future). Now there is a project for an ambitious person with unlimited funds and a team of deranged mechanikers (Garage 54 would do it in a shot). Picture it, hiked up with nice chunky offroad tyres splooshing through mud, and a power to weight ratio guaranteed to make a 0-100km time seem like an afternoon stroll...

Over the years there has been much talk of people converting one to 4WD with some eager folk starting the build, to date they have all ended up the same way as those who have attempted the 1300FWD Sprint builds.

Steph's had the classic "input shaft failure" (pun intended) and she managed to source a replacement input shaft from a guy called Bruce (NOT our very own Bruce Jones) from deepest Leicestershire who owns HWJ 31N, a 1975 Toledo.
Anybody on here know him?

The replacement input shaft has also failed. Can anyone help her?

Obviously there's another problem.... She needs to dig deeper. No point replacing an input shaft every 100 miles.

Steph is featured in the current DM (Issue 204 for anybody reading this in the future) on page 14. She ended up getting a replacement input shaft from Steve W.
