Hi All

I am in the process of stripping down my doner 1500 engine for assessment and rebuild.

The markings are Mains - 149082 and 5106

Big ends - 149081 and 5105

With no measurements on so I am assuming they are standard size. I measured the big end journals and they came out on bottom limit 1.875”. And showed no scoring.

What I can’t understand is that doing a bit of Googling these seem to be TR6 part numbers. The part numbers in my parts book are RTC numbers.

The TR6 forum suggest these are original truimph numbers?.. just wondered if any body had come across these in the past?

Thanks

I was under the impression that 1300 1500 and the 2000 2500 straight sixes all used the same bearings as they evolved from the same engine. Not surprised that it cross refs to TR6 parts.

Yes, they are all the same journals.

Early T2000, 1200 and mk3 spit/early 13/60 used a smaller bearing crank. No idea about earlier 948 etc...

If you get very very lucky you may find some Vandervell, next would be Glacier etc. If buying from a supplier, I would get the std bearings, I have tried teh HD type and I don't think there are any benefits.

I (still) have stock of STD Main and Big End bearing shells. AE Glacier. Some standard and +0.05 thrust washers too. Open to offers.
