You couldn't make it up …

…it was a lovely sunny day today so we took the Dolomite out for some essential shopping. And I paid £1 for a 2 hour parking ticket.
As usual I put it on the dashboard whereupon on opening the door a gust of wind caught it and twisted it in mid air … and neatly posted it down the demister vent. :-(
I couldn't blow it out even on double speed and I didn't have a Posidrive screwdriver. So not wanting an argument with the traffic warden I coughed up another £1 and got a replacement.
So what to do now ? I've had the long demister outlet vent off before but I can't remember what's underneath. Will this involve removing the heater motor from under the bonnet ?
Thanks ,
Tony.

I think if it was my car it'd stay in there.. Removing the metal strip gives a slightly wider slot to fish around in but that's it - might be enough.. And you've got the heater matrix and stuff at the bottom of that so you're unlikely to get it from the outside...

Daft question, have you tried turning on the fan at full power to blow it out?

If that doesn't work, an air compressor with a blow out tool might do the trick.

Thanks all for the advice. I had a fish around inside the vents today.and even with the fan at full speed ... nothing !
It can stay there. I have other things to do.
Cheers all.
Tony.
