Gday from Aus

Hi Guys and Gals,
I bought a 1975 1850 Dolomite about 6 months ago, trying to get it roadworthy.
History : I have been a Mini owner for the past 35 years and currently have a 63 850, a 69 Mini K and a 78 Panelvan. Growing up our family always had British cars, Triumphs, Minis, Jaguars so I am trying to keep it going.
The Dolomite I bought needs a lot of work so I will be asking quite a few questions here. This forum seem great. I am on a Mini forum (Ausmini) here in Australia and it has been a great help, so I think this one should be very helpful.
Thanks heaps,
Steve.

G'day mate!
Welcome to the forum. 1850s are the bomb, not like the lime-light hogging Sprints :-)
Though I might be biased.
1850 engine bits can be a little challenging but mostly parts aren't too bad.

Cheers, Sam

Thanks Sam, I didnt have much choice as what Dolomite I got, They dont come up for sale very often, but Im happy with the 1850. I think parts for it are going to be a bit of trouble. There are a few places In Australia that sell some of the parts. Hopefully I wont need anything major for it.
Steve.

Small parts or cumulative parts weighing less than 2 kg can easily be sent out to you as and if necessary. Economy post isn't too expensive, and whilst they quote up to 42 days, things can arrive in a fortnight or so...
