Dolly Sprint Engine Maintenance

Hi All
I have recently bought a restored Sprint with Engine rebuild.
Regarding Maintenance or issues to watch for can you advise please.

OK, since no-one else has answered you, I will give it ago.
Since your engine has been newly rebuilt, I would check whether the oil pump has been replaced. Some oil pumps have the wrong pressure relief valve and that can lead to too high oil pressure. Same if it has a new fuel pump, my new pump was putting out too much pressure for the carbs to handle. Look for coolant leaks, shouldn't be an issue if it has been rebuilt properly but they can be difficult to completely seal the coolant system.
As for maintenance, it isn't really different to a modern engine. Annual oil change, make sure you have the correct anti-freeze and renew other service items when needed. If you haven't switched to electronic ignition, I would recommend you do, it will save you messing around with points. I like simple classic engine but I don't see any point keeping points ignition.

It would be worth asking the previous owner if the head had been retorqued after the rebuild...or retorquing it anyway...
Make sure there is a good percentage of anti-freeze in the coolant all year round.
