Hello,
Does the QH QFP33 work for a '78 T reg Sprint with the addition of the spacer.
Had a MoProd FP78 before but can't find one now.
Didn't need a spacer before.
I have a Mini spacer which I think will work.
Thanks.
Peter.

Yes it does Peter and the mini spacer works as well.

Thanks Tony.
Do you know if the servicable MoProd FP78 pump is still available and/or the service kit can be found.
Nothing on eBay today.
Peter.

Had the exact same problem myself a couple of weeks ago, a pump failed on a customer car and all I had in stock was a new "long arm" QH pump, which needed a spacer I didn't have!
Fortunately for me, the failed pump was also a QH replacement and I was able to make a functional "short arm" pump out of bits from both pumps. Note, I was unable to just swap the arms over as the arm pivot pins were peined in place, I had to use the arm and lower housing of the original with the diaphragm and upperworks of the replacement.

Hi Tony,
I have the QH pump and spacer installed.
I now have an carb-bowl overflow issue with either of the carb bowls but not at both at the same time.
I have sprayed the bowl-float mechanism with carb cleaner and the floats appear to work as they should.
It did happen before with the old short arm pump ( MoProd 98 ) but very, very intermittently.
Seems there is too much pressure with this pump perhaps.
Putting my finger over the overflow outlet seems to affect engine idling and I can get a good spray of fuel by use of my finger.
Did you have the same problem ?.
Peter.

It now seems to have stopped overflowing.
Tapped the cover with the handle of screwdriver after letting it sit a couple of hours.
See how she goes now.
Thanks all.
Peter.

Had the same problem, some of the modern pumps have too high an output for carbs. Easy enough fix, just fit a pressure regulator between the pump and the carbs. They are not expensive.

Hi Peter, sorry for late reply as i have been offline for a few day's.
I didn't have any problems with mine at all, but i know others have. When i fitted mine i also fitted one of these
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/274749926529 ... %3A2334524
as i don't use the car daily and it took ages to start, so fitted this between pump and carbs now starts 1st time even after standing a month. Best £5,99 ever spent.

I will look into these then.
Gave it a good run yday as had sunshine and was dry.
Started it this morning and it gave a few more dumps of fuel.
