Morning all,

Can you please tell me if the Dolomite clutch pedal return spring (152307) is the same as that used on the 1300FWD? If so, I recall some were remanufactured a while ago. Are there any still available?
Asking for a friend, thanks in advance for any responses.

We have about 40 Dolomite flavour in stock, and have asked a 1300fwd owner for the equivalent part number...

With thanks to ‘Trust No1’ , this is the 1300 fwd exploded diagram which gives part number 143191 for item 17, the return spring. Clearly, this is a different part number to the Dolomite, but the drawing is very similar to the Dolomite item which is pictured below:

‘Trust No1’ tells me that both the pedal and bracket are different to the Dolomite equivalent, so maybe the part gained a new number when the other two components changed? Maybe there is a subtle difference though, diameter of coil perhaps, which justifies the change in number?

At £14 and absence of alternative, maybe it’s worth a try?

The drawing shows 4 coils, whereas the real thing Dolomite part only has 3. Now I realize this may mean nothing, the drawings are seldom pefect in parts lists, or it may be correct. Even if it does turn out that the 1300 one has 4 coils, it may still not preclude using a 3 coil Dolomite one, what's the worst that can happen? The clutch gets a bit lighter to use!

We’ve now ascertained the 1300 spring has the same number of coils as the Dolomite, but there appears to be a very slight difference in angles between the tangents of departure from the coil; of course, that could be slight fatigue from use. The bottom image is a new remanufactured Dolomite spring, the top image a spring taken off a 1300 fwd pedal

Ive just done an overlay of both and agree with Alun that its likely the age of my spring. the part number could be due to the uppermost 'hook' being more curved as the 1300 one hooks above the bracket and the dolomite ones I believe goes through a hole in the bracket.
