Gear lever spring

The small spring and pinion at the bottom of the gear lever was missing. Giving a very floppy feel to the gear lever.
I made a new one by cutting off the end off a drill bit and cutting down a spring I had. The spring used on the carburetor adjustment screws is about the right size. The one I had was a bit stiffer so I used that instead but the carburetor spring might work as well if that is what you have.
The lever is now nice and solid. In fact it might be a bit too stiff. Hence another reason to try the carburetor spring.
I bet I am not the first person to lose these.
