Small fuel leak

I had a small fuel leak on the on fuel line connecting tube under the passenger seat. The rubber tube was covered in underseal and actually looked to be in good condition.
This is what it looked like when I cleaned off the underseal.
I suggest if you have any fuel lines coated in underseal you replacement sooner rather than later even if they look fine.

It's my understanding that US fuels contain even more ethanol than the rubbish, (E5 at best and E10 for regular) stuff we get in the UK.
That being the case, i'd recommend you replace ALL the flexible fuel hoses on the car with ethanol proof stuff (designated R9 or R14 in the UK, don't know what your equivalent is) I think Gates Barricade hose is actually made in the US, something like that would be good, but be warned, there is quite a lot of counterfeit Gates hose easily available on UK ebay and the like.

Steve, you are correct some fuel contains E20, you can also get E85 but not many car can take it. The corn farmers lobby has been quite successful in the US.
The failure here wasn't due to fuel. The inside of the pipe was still in good condition. The pipe rotted from the outside in caused by the underseal that it was covered in. The degree of decay was quite impressive. I would say that this failure mode is more serious than ethanol.
Any rubber fuel or brake lines covered in underseal are at risk
