Distributor rotor different size?

I have just bought a new rotor for my 1850 Dolomite. The original rotor is bakelite or something similar, quite rigid. The new one is plastic and flexes a little if squeezed (Intermotor brand part number 47810, which is said to be the same as GRA111).
The bottom of the rotor has a couple of keyed projections to ensure it is installed the right way, one square and one circular. On the old cap, they are 44mm apart. On the new one they are 45mm apart, and slightly larger. The new one does not fit easily. It does fit if I force it but I am concerned that it may distort the rotor and affect the clearances.
Fortunately, the keyed pins are at right angles to the axis of the contact on top, so maybe not?
Thoughts?

Cheap crap part.
Try and source something better, an original one off eBay maybe.
Same rotor fits Vauxhall Viva 1600 1800 2000 and 2300, Victor FD 1600 and 2000, Victor FE 1800 and 2300, Bedford CF 1800 and 2300, Viva GT, Firenza and Magnum. Might widen your search.

I thought it might be. Would you happen to know the part number?
Now I am wondering if the distributor cap is any good. It looks a fairly faithful copy of the original, except that the contacts are a silver colour rather than brass on the original.

If it's the same Delco type dizzy I have on my 1850 then the part number on this Lucas one might help track one down?
Where did you get the shonky one from? Wonder if these are any good?

Just to wind this up, my parts supplier had got a new rotor in to replace the one they sold me. It turned out this was a Delco part so now I have that in the car and it fits perfectly.

I'm pleased I read this, I found a genuine NOS AC Delco rotor arm on ebay, a bit expensive but i bought it for stock, in case I ever need one.
