Sprint engine

Are there any tricks to replace the exhaust valve rubber seals, with out removing the head ?

I'm guessing you're talking about the valve stem oil seals? No, is the answer. You would need to remove the cylinder head stud nuts to remove the rocker shaft & if you just removed these there would be a good chance of your head warping.

Is the bottom end of a Sprint engine the same as TR7 ? , the main reason for asking is the bolts kit the same ( big end and mains )

Effectively yes. Only the pistons are different (2 cut outs for valves instead of 4) Some peripheral bits like the sump, engine mounts and backplates would need swapping if you were to buy a TR7 short motor for example.

Hang on I thought that the whole point of that ludicrous angled head bolt deign was so you could do precisely that? If it isn't possible to remove the rockers to say replace the camshaft, without taking out the head bolts, why design it that way?
