44D4 cam removal?

I've got the roll pin out of the worst of my spare dissys - it was either already broken inside near the small hole end, or shattered as I drove it out. I think the former, because it had a load of play, and there's a small burr on the edges of the hole in the main shaft, and I don't think I hit it that hard, and then only against a bit of soft wood so I wouldn't lose it.
That gets me the main shaft with the centrifugal advance out of the body. But how does the cam and upper shaft, with the beak attached, come off the top of the main shaft? I need that off to repair the holes in the bob weights that are worn, or perhaps replace the bobs if I find a set. All I can see from the top is what looks like a circlip with no gap - isn't that a washer? The 25D at least has a screw holding the cam on.
So has anyone had one of these D44's disassembled that far?
