One of my pet hates on the Toledo is one side of the indicators does not self cancel, nor does it go bink bink bink, is the flasher relay 2 or 3 pin and where should it be situated. ?? thats the first job, make it go Bink Bink Bink

From memory, they are 2 pin.
However, on my Triumphs I replace all flasher units with electronic 3 pin flasher relays. They need an earch wire adding, but that is all, and give a very satisfying/regular flash.
I think there are some electronic 2 pin flashers available now.

The lack of self cancelling may just need a fiddle with the fixings.

I got bored mucking about replacing the flashers, so I fitted one of these:

Not cheap, but I have them on the Spitfire and the Dolomite and they "just work" and last well.
