When I bought my Sprint, in about 1990, it had a rubber Formuling rear spolier fitted. I took it off when it got resprayed black but, with hindsight, it actually quite suited the car.

The aerodynamic of the Dolomite rear end is far superior to that of the Escort Mk2. The 'kamm' tail design of the Dolomite has no need of a rear spoiler, and introducing one will increase turbulence and drag.
