Have what Think is a non adjustable steering column, as mentioned on another post, the bottom bush has failed, following what seems like the logical route to remove the inner column, Lube the top UJ for days, mark everything up, take out the bolt in the UJ, spread the UJ slot slightly and gently tap the back of the steering wheel with intent of drifting the column out of the UJ, enough so I can replace the bush, am I missing something, or do I have to remove more to get the inner column out, the steering lock is unlocked, but I cant get the inner shaft any further than about 1/4" from the end of the UJ, am I missing something?
