Best not try that is anything less than about 25 years old!
I have a waste oil heater in my garage, seems very effective and free to run. The only thing I had to buy was some stainless exhaust tubing for the flue, I collected a gas bottle for free.
I am so tempted to convert our log burner in the house to do the same, it could save a fortune in heating bills.

Hi

For about 3 years, I Ran my 1995 Mitsubishi Delica 2.8TD on 50/50 new veg oil (32p/l) then and diesel.

Went fine and good cost saving, but a bit of a hassle pouring from 20l drums into a fuel filter.

I just dont do the miles to need anything than petrol (maybe 6k a year). My LPG MG ZT-T 2.5v6 with LPG was far easier to live with!

Free. except for the permits needed to use a small waste oil burner which are about £3k for the DEFRA
licence and £1300 a year to your local council enviromental licensing plus the legally required annual maintance costs?
or you could keep it quiet and hope a neighbour doesnt grass you up which could cost you a £50K fine.
Some people are like Slinky's, they serve no real purpose in life but bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.
