Do the replacement steering track rod ends with nipples from Rimmers (part # GSJ158) come pre greased?

They might come 'dry' potentially because of the 'carriage conditions' some courier companies impose. I had to send a gearbox for rebuild as 'machine parts' once just to get a quote as anything they think contains oil, grease etc. gets declined for potential contamination though it is a bit of a minefield as I get 5 litres of engine oil delivered to my home no problem and had a reconditioned VW Beetle engine delivered on a pallet, but that was 'dry'.....yorkshire_spam wrote: ↑Thu Jun 29, 2023 8:19 am Can't speak for the Rimmers offerings, but the ones I had for the Spitfire came without grease (I was a bit shocked)
I had a similar problem with a bumper I was sending away for chroming. Because of the length I was sending it parcelforce as it was to long for Hermes etc. Took it to the post office and they asked what it was, when I said car bumper they refused to take it saying PO policy was no car parts. I took it away to a different post office and told them it was a fireplace fender and it was accepted!.ClassicFan wrote: ↑Thu Jun 29, 2023 8:30 amThey might come 'dry' potentially because of the 'carriage conditions' some courier companies impose. This accords with my experience, even the so called "greased for life" track rod ends contain surprisingly little grease as supplied. I often add some more under the gaiters even though it probably doesn't help much!
