Guys
I want to replace all the flexible rubber fuel hoses on my recently acquired 1300 FWD (sc)
I understand that tank to pump sections are 8mm and pump to carb is 6mm, but what
I’m not clear on is how many flexible sections there are. I can see the two engine bay sections
And am assuming there is one from the tank to the main line. Is that it?
(Can’t look at the moment due to illness.)
Thanks for your advice.
John
1300 FWD fuel hoses
Hello and .....
Welcome to the forum John.
If it was up to me, I would be replacing the steel pipes with kunifer.
Lying in below the car, I have done this with one pipe from front to back, not the easiest job but doable.
(I will doing this time shortly on my Sprint)
I have never worked on a 1300, but as the sizes you quote are correct for Dolomites I imagine they are the same for your car.

Re: 1300 FWD fuel hoses
If it's the same as a Dolomite, there are 3 short section under the car, 1 near the tank outlet, a second roughly below the rear seat and a third to the rear of the front footwell. All these are 5/16" (8mm) as are the 2 longer hoses into and out of the fuel pump. If you have a TC 1300, the hose into the carbs is 5/16" and the pipes between are 1/4" (6mm). If it's an SC, I think the final hose into the carb is 5/16" also, but I wouldn't swear to it.

Done this job now. Just in case anyone else needs to do the job-replaced the rear hard line with 1/4" copper pipe. There are 4 sections of rubber hose on the car, listed below. They are ALL 6mm hose.
1. Tank to rear pipe
2. Rear pipe to main pipe (By rear suspension)
3. Main pipe in engine bay to pump hard line (I put an in line filter in this section)
4. Hard line to carb
1. Tank to rear pipe

3. Main pipe in engine bay to pump hard line (I put an in line filter in this section)
4. Hard line to carb
