Outdoor cover recommendations?

Looks like the Dolomite is going to have to spend a month or two outside while I sort the new garage out.

Anyone got any recommendations for a "mid-range" cover for outdoor use? I don't want to spend a fortune for something I'll probably only use for 6 to 8 weeks. But I don't want something crap that falls apart either.

If you're definitely going for short term I've used a ~£30 cover from Halfords and thought it was good for the money. They do bleed a bit of water through in heavy rain but seem to allow it to dry afterwards.
If its like any of my projects end, 8 weeks will end up at 2 years and you'd have wished you bought a better cover! In which case I would recommend a Classic additions one. I had an external one for my Westfield and it was amazing, water would pool in a rain storm to the point there was a mini pond (I forgot to put the hood frame up to hold the cover up) and nothing went through but it was breathable and very hard wearing.

I this helps a bit!

I can second that. Classic Additions covers are not the cheapest / most expensive out there but, my SAAB Convertible lives outside under one all winter (It went on at the end of October and the car was still dry under it yesterday and that's the second year I have used it) and really do 'what it says on the tin'

Thanks for the suggestions I'll take a look at how good I can afford. The car isn't the project - but clearing furniture and boxes from our move out of the garage to accommodate the car is! Hopefully that will be done well before summer.

Sam, the car covers that Alid and Lidl sell should be suitable for what you need. I've had 2 such covers on my own Dolomite and they both eventually got destroyed by the weather. These covers will last for your intended timescale but not long term.

Off to Lidl tonight - I'll take a look!
Cheers!
